My goal is to get you stronger, period. Get stronger and everything else falls into place. Your body will change, your confidence will grow; you’ll feel better, move better and perform better. Physical strength is the foundation that supports a healthy lifestyle. I offer a variety of training services to help build that foundation.
Here’s the deal: I provide the personalized program, monitor your technique, and oversee your progress. All you have to do is show up, put in the work, and in return you’ll be rewarded with a stronger, healthier self.
If you’re new to this whole “exercise” thing, or if you’ve tried before but struggled to achieve your goals, personal training can make all the difference. My job is to take the guesswork out of the process so you can focus on lifting with confidence. I am your guide, your Obi-Wan Kenobi. Can training with me turn you into a Jedi Knight? You better believe it.
I offer private (one-on-one) as well as semi-private (two-on-one) training services from my College Street Studio. If you’d rather train at home, that’s not a problem — I make house calls too.
Everyone can benefit from personal training, but for some it’s just not practical. Maybe you live outside of Toronto, or your job has you working irregular hours. Or maybe you’re comfortable with exercise techniques but the science behind programming leaves you scratching your head. If this sounds like you, consider my online coaching program.
Think of it as a virtual mentorship. After our initial consultation, you’ll receive a program designed for your specific needs. I’ll check in throughout the week and send you articles relating to your goals. Whenever you need help, I’m only a text or email away. For even more support, we can schedule Skype or FaceTime appointments. You’ll get the benefits of a personal trainer at a schedule that suits your lifestyle.
If the training montages from the Rocky movies are burned into your brain; if you want the body of a mixed martial artist without having to get kicked in the head; if you’re into efficient, high-intensity training without any fancy equipment, then Fight Camp is for you.
Each 40-minute session is structured around bodyweight training, kettlebells, plyometrics and anaerobic conditioning. The benefits of this style of training are huge, ranging from greater muscular endurance to an increase in joint mobility. Plus, it’s a lot of fun.
Fight Camps are held at the Bloor Street Centre, but when the sun is shining we can take the training outside too. Hill sprints in the park? Yes please! Fight Camp works best when we have two or more members, so grab some friends and motivate each other to reach new levels of fitness.
Little known fact: the treadmill was originally created as a torture device. Anyone who’s ever logged endless miles on one of these things knows this to be true. The good news is that getting in shape doesn’t have to involve weights and machines. All you need is a pair of gloves.
As an instructor at Black Devil Mixed Martial Arts, I’ve been teaching people to strike for years. I’ve modified our curriculum to make it less intimidating and more fitness-based. We focus heavily on the fundamentals, hammering home techniques until they become second-nature. The pace is fast, the energy level is high, and the boredom factor is non-existent. Trust me, nothing crushes stress like 30 minutes of pounding away on heavy bags and focus mitts. Pair a Cardio Striking session with a Fight Camp for an hour of the most fun you’ve ever had getting in shape.
Now, let’s talk about money. The most common reason for not hiring a trainer is price. I want to change that. Personal training shouldn’t be a luxury reserved only for the upper crust. My rates are set on a sliding scale to fit your budget, with discounts offered on multi-session packages.
